Named after the Japanese word for a regular wooden pencil, Enpitsu mechanical pencils combine the simple elegance of a wooden pencil with the convenience of a mechanical pencil.

This Type M pencil takes the classic design of the Enpitsu Sharp Type S and pairs it with a range of dark, sophisticated body colors. Its geometric grip section—hexagonal near the tip and round further back—evoke the feel of a wooden pencil, while the grip section's rubber texture, the pencil's push-button lead extender, and the large twist eraser in the push button provide the comfort and convenience of a top-quality mechanical pencil. The pencil's sturdy 4 mm guide pipe provides a clear view of the writing surface and retracts into the nose cone for safe carrying in a pocket or pen case. The pencil's large clip is perfect for attaching it to a pocket or notebook.

Notes:

- To refill the lead, pull off the top push-button section to expose the lead storage tube, add leads, and reinstall the push-button section.

- To refill the eraser, twist clockwise until the eraser is fully extended, pull out the old eraser, insert the new eraser, and twist counterclockwise to retract it.

- To retract the guide pipe, hold down the push button, press the tip against a hard surface, then release the push button.
